Course Description

This course is aimed at examining the key characteristics of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in China and helping the students understand why China has been very successful in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in more and more sectors, including the high tech sector and the military sector. It covers the following topics:(1) Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; (2) Institutional environment of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in China, including government policies of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; (3) Strategies of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, including strategies for startups to grow big; and (4) Roles of leadership in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in China. Noted entrepreneurs and executives will be invited to share their insights. This course is aimed at examining the key characteristics of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in China and helping the students understand why China has been very successful in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in more and more sectors while less successful in other cases.
