单霁翔，2012年1月，任故宫博物院院长。为第十届、第十一届、第十二届全国政协委员，中国文物学会会长。

毕业于清华大学建筑学院城市规划与设计专业，师从两院院士吴良镛教授，获工学博士学位。被聘为北京大学、清华大学等高等院校兼职教授、博士生导师。2005年3月，获美国规划协会“规划事业杰出人物奖”。2014年9月，获国际文物修护学会“福布斯奖”。出版《文化遗产•思行文丛》等十余部专著，并发表百余篇学术论文。

Dr. Shan Jixiang has served as Director of the Palace Museum since January 2012. He was a member of both the tenth and the eleventh National Committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), as well as a member of the twelfth National Committee of the CPPCC. Dr. Shan is President of the Cultural Relics Society of China.

As a student of China’s renowned academician, Professor Wu Liangyong, Dr. Shan graduated from the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University, receiving an Eng. D degree. He is a doctoral supervisor and an adjunct professor at a number of universities and colleges, including Peking University and Tsinghua University. In March 2005, Dr. Shan received the International Leadership Award from the American Planning Association (APA). In September 2014, Dr. Shan was awarded the Forbes Prize by the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works.

His published works include over a hundred academic theses and more than ten monographs such as Cultural Heritage-Thoughts and Practice.
