Dr. Xiaodong Wang is the Founding Director & Architect of a 700-person team at the National Institute of Biological Sciences (NIBS) in Beijing. In 2010 he founded BeiGene (NASDAQ: BGNE), a globally focused biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative treatments for cancer. A Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, Dr. Wang served as the George L. MacGregor Distinguished Chair in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center from 1997 to 2010 and as Professor in Biomedical Sciences from 2001 to 2010. He is a member of National Academy of Sciences in the United States and a Foreign Associate of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Wang previously founded Joyant Pharmaceuticals, a US-based venture capital-backed oncology biotech, in 2004.

王晓东: 美籍华人科学家，美国国家科学院院士，2013年新当选中国科学院外籍院士，美国德克萨斯大学西南医学中心教授，前Joyant Pharmaceuticals美国肿瘤生物技术公司创始人，百济神州（NASDAQ: BGNE）创始人、首席科学家，北京生命科学研究所所长。
