Chao Wang spends most of his career in the field of different INGO’s operations in China. His career path encompasses a wide range from program officer to senior leadership positions in major international NGOs, where he successfully drove the organizations’ growth and expanded portfolio. His recent organizational roles include Chief Operating Officer with World Wildlife Fund in China; Chief Executive Officer with World Vision International in China; and Chief Representative and Country Director of Save the Children China. While practicing NGO management and leadership, he also teaches non-profit management, fundraising, social policy and social innovation at Tsinghua University, and has a number of publications in these fields. Prior to joining Save the Children, Chao was a co-founder and former Executive Dean of the Institute for Philanthropy at Tsinghua University, where he is still holding a joint senior research fellow position.
