Kevin Wei studied Mathematics-Statistics and Economics at Columbia University and is pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. After joining cloud provider DigitalOcean, he leads an international startup program with tens of millions in budget and revenue. Through his activism, Kevin has fundraised $65,000+ for NYC’s Asian American community and successfully fought to reinstate a major government employment program. He serves on the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund endorsements board and NYC-DSA Technology Action Working Group board. As a Schwarzman Scholar, he will research artificial intelligence policy in China while championing ethical, equitable AI. Kevin is from the United States.
