David Kinzuzi is committed to transforming the lives of refugee and displaced communities, inspired by his journey as a forcibly displaced person. David currently works at the African Leadership University to increase access to life-changing opportunities for underrepresented and refugee communities through quality education. He co-founded an international award-winning social enterprise, “My Green Home,” that recycles plastic waste into building materials. He is a founding member of the Mastercard Foundation Alumni Network Committee and a member of the Resilient40, an African climate activists’ collective. At Schwarzman Scholars, David will further explore ways of increasing the economic self-sufficiency of displaced communities. David is from Burundi.
