2026 Happy New Year

亲爱的老师们、同学们、同事们、朋友们：

岁月更迭，万象更新。我们谨代表清华大学苏世民书院，向全体师生员工、海内外校友以及长期关心支持书院发展的各界友人，致以最诚挚的问候和最美好的新年祝福！

2025年，苏世民书院持续优化“三维立体”人才培养模型，深化“体验式学习”理念，来自38个国家的学生在广阔的中国大地探寻绿色发展的脉络、解码现代城市数字化治理、体验乡村振兴带来的新农村生活。

随着第十届学者的加入，苏世民书院已有1350名分布在100多个国家和地区的校友和在读学者，建立了全球21个校友枢纽。苏世民学者在世界经济论坛、联合国气候变化大会、博鳌论坛等国际舞台上持续发声，展现出在全球议题上的建言能力与责任担当。

2026年，我们即将迎来书院正式开学十周年的日子。这十年，是立足中国、面向世界的十年；是汇聚英才、交融思想的十年；也是持续探索全球化人才培养模式、推动文明互鉴的十年。我们将以此为契机，回顾历程、总结经验、展望未来，进一步强化书院在国际教育与人文交流中的桥梁作用。

最后，再次感谢大家一直以来对清华大学苏世民书院的信任与支持。让我们携手同心，在十周年的新起点上，共同书写未来发展的精彩篇章。

Dear faculty, students, colleagues, and friends,

As the year comes to a close and renewal begins, the chimes of the New Year are ringing once again. On behalf of Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University, we extend our warmest greetings and best wishes for the coming year to all members of our community, alumni around the world, and friends who have consistently supported our growth.

In 2025, Schwarzman College continued to refine its "three-dimensional" integrated education model for cultivating talents and deepened its approach to "experiential learning." Students from 38 countries explored the pathways of green development across the vast landscape of China, decoded the digital governance of modern cities, and experienced the new rural life shaped by rural revitalization.

Our alumni network continues to flourish, with the addition of the 10th cohort bringing the total number of Schwarzman scholars to 1,350 across over 100 countries and regions. Through 21 global alumni hubs,  our scholars have consistently made their voices heard on international platforms such as the World Economic Forum, the UN Climate Change Conference, and the Boao Forum, demonstrating both their ability to contribute insights and their sense of responsibility on global issues.

The year 2026 will mark the 10th anniversary of Schwarzman College's inaugural opening ceremony. This decade has been a journey of being rooted in China while engaging the world - bringing together outstanding talents, integrating diverse ideas, and continuously exploring models for cultivating global leaders and advancing mutual learning among civilizations. Taking this milestone as an opportunity, we will reflect on our journey, draw lessons from our experience, and look ahead with renewed purpose. We will further strengthen the College’s role as a bridge for international education and cultural exchanges.

Finally, we would like to once again express our sincere gratitude for your enduring trust and support for Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University. Let us join hands and hearts at this milestone and come together to write the remarkable chapters of the coming decades.
