Biography Raphael X. Moffett joined the Schwarzman Scholarsprogram on August 1, 2022 as the Chief Student Affairs Officer and AssociateDean of Student Life. His main job responsibilities include leading the Student Life staff to design, implement andmanage a broad range of programs and initiatives for students and collaboratewith key stakeholders across the College to provide a meaningful experience forstudents in the program. His goal is to foster a co-curricular environment thatpromotes the holistic (social, physical, intellectual, cultural, educational,and spiritual) development of all students.  Raphael received his Bachelor’s degree in English from Washington State University. He earned hisMaster’s degree and doctorate in Educational Leadershipfrom Clark Atlanta University. Previously, he served as the Dean of Students atDuke Kunshan University in Kunshan, China. He also served as the Vice Presidentfor Student Services at Texas Southern University and Vice President for Student Affairs at Langston University. Raphael brings20 years of experience serving in progressive leadership roles at TrinityUniversity, Morehouse College, Georgia State University, and Clark AtlantaUniversity.  In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time withwife and son, visiting family, music production, watching and playingbasketball, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
